Matthew Melksham has been promoted to Director at Exeter based accountancy firm Bush & Co joining the experienced leadership team of Roger Carne, Sunny Truran, Catherine Dymond and Shane Cann.
Based in Barnfield Crescent, the independent accounting practice, which recently celebrated 60 years in business, has grown significantly over the last six years.
Matthew joined the practice in 2017 and has spent the last 20 years working in the South West, providing professional skills paired with local knowledge and exceptional personal care and attention. His areas of expertise include Agricultural, Landed Estates, Charities, Renewable Energy companies and Solicitors' audits and practices.
Commenting on his promotion Matthew said 'I am delighted that the last two years have gone so smoothly and that I have now taken up a full directorship. My fellow Directors share my passion for excellent client care and I look forward to working together to take the business forward providing first class accountancy advice to our many valued clients in Exeter and the South West. We help clients to find solutions and help mentor and support their plans. My mentoring and nurturing of talent within Bush & Co's team will also provide a platform to develop future skills.'
Matthew's work life balance is key to his success. Ultra-marathon running, which focuses on distances over 50k, keeps him mentally and physically fit and his valued contribution to Exeter includes being a secondary school governor, trustee on a number of charities and a member of various Church of England boards and panels.
Fellow director Roger Carne said, 'Matthew's move to Director is thoroughly deserved and he is a welcome addition to our leadership team. His clients are impressed with his advice, focus and dedication and we look forward to him helping shape our direction and strategy to guarantee that Bush & Co continues to develop and nurture an amazing pool of talent which will ensure the best service for our clients.'
