Tax Administrator

Our tax team provides compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients. These include high net worth individuals, clients living overseas or with foreign income and assets, company directors, and property business owners; together with Trusts and Estate work. The work is varied and includes assistance with annual self-assessment tax returns, remuneration planning, capital gains tax 60 day returns, capital gains tax planning, inheritance tax and succession planning, inheritance tax returns for trusts and estates, and probate work.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm to support the tax department with tax administration and tax secretarial duties as well as general administrative duties and company secretarial duties.

Main job tasks and responsibilities

  • Day to day tax administrative and secretarial duties to include:
    • Providing PA support to the tax department in screening and directing telephone calls.
    • Assistance with HMRC related tasks, administration, and telephone calls.
    • Providing secretarial support to the tax department to include letter and report typing, email management and screening.
    • Client on-boarding and database management.
    • Management of client meetings and attending meetings for minute taking.
    • Client invoicing.
    • Assistance with Fees Protection claims.
    • Scanning client records for tax return preparation.
    • Supporting all teams across the organisation on company secretarial duties.
    • Assistance with the administration of Probate cases.
  • To work with the Support Team on general firm administrative duties as required which may include reception cover.
  • Other duties as required by the Business Support Manager or Directors.

The ideal candidate will need to:

  • Have previous experience within an administrative or secretarial role.
  • Be computer literate with Microsoft Office including good Excel skills and cloud-based technology.
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent planning and prioritising skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and oral skills.
  • Self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
